Location: London, Ontario
Job type: Permanent & Full-Time
Job Status: Hybrid (in office 3 days per week after first 3 months)
Salary: $55-$70K based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
Benefits Associate provides support to the Advisor and client of Selectpath. In this position, you will be responsible for handling client and Advisor inquiries and requests related to group benefits products.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Long periods on a computer and navigation around different software programs
- Interacts with carriers, clients, employees, and advisors
- Diverse and complex work
- Perform high-concentration tasks
- Regular office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Overtime hours may be required
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze plan pricing, design, administration
- Plan, organize and facilitate the preparation and completion of client renewals
- Provide recommendations to the advisor
- Negotiate pricing with benefit carrier as required
- Plan, organize and facilitate market studies, new plan implementations, plan amendments, carrier changes, and AOR’s
- Participate in finalist meetings as required
- Management of large client files
- Provide accurate and thorough answers to client requests and questions
- Communicate with carriers through client issues as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible work experience
- Minimum 3 years of benefits experience required
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation preferred, or willing to obtain
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred, or willing to obtain
- Ability to take initiative and a pro-active approach to work
- Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Enthusiastic, respectful, high professional and uncompromised confidentiality
- Ability to organize, prioritize in a fast work environment
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Salary: $55,000-$70,000

Position Summary
The Advisor, Financial Services will work with a senior Advisor and is responsible for working in a customer-centric environment working with people in a relatable way. In this position, you will focus to provide exceptional service and guidance to help clients reach their financial goals, achieved through an understanding of the client, their needs, risks, and appropriate planning.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Client Servicing
- Taking a proactive approach to discovering client needs, listening to, and understanding what they are asking for
- Conduct ongoing research and review investment options
- Regularly review current and new investment and insurance product offerings
- Conduct business following compliance standards
- Regularly perform a review of selected investment options
- Build client plans using a holistic approach to helping them achieve their goals
- Nurture strong and long-standing relationships
- Review client’s investment portfolio and performance information
- Educating the client and providing relevant and timely insight and expert advice
- Confirm clients’ regulatory status of personal information
- Review existing strategies with a view to any necessary updates or alterations
- Meet with clients to review their current circumstances, update regulatory information, and review financial plan
- Develop, retain, and grow business by introducing the client to Selectpath’s broad range of services available
- Focus on doing the right thing for the ideal client profile
New Business
- Develop plan to grow practice to meet sales goals
- Build marketing strategy to strategically grow business
- Market business practice through individually defined methods
- Ensure paperwork and forms are completed accurately and submitted as required
Corporate Administration
- Work collaboratively with other Selectpath advisors to delivery best-in-class solutions and advice
- Analyze business activity, structure, and expenses
- Build annual department budget and set sales goals in alignment with corporate budget and goals
- Manage practice team to ensure department is operating efficiently and provide support as required
- Complete performance appraisal evaluations for team members
- Participate in various office functions and represent the company at public functions as required
- Use Customer-Relationship Management (CRM) system to store client information
- Other duties as assigned in any category
Qualifications and Experience:
- College diploma or university degree required in finance or related discipline required
- 2-3 years of experience in finance or related field required
- Securities or Mutual Funds License required (MFDA or IIROC)
- Life Insurance Agent License required
- Acceptable credit score required
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation preferred, or willing to obtain
- Time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
